Deletion Terms

1. Overview

This Deletion Terms page explains how you can request deletion of your NoteSpark AI ("we", "our", or "us") account and data, what we delete, what we may retain, and how long the process typically takes.

By using NoteSpark AI and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that deletion requests are processed subject to verification, technical limitations, and applicable legal obligations.

2. What You Can Request

You can request one or more of the following:

  • Account deletion: Removal of your NoteSpark AI account and associated profile information.
  • Content deletion: Removal of content you uploaded or generated in the Service (e.g., PDFs, audio/video uploads, notes, flashcards, mind maps, quizzes).
  • Partial deletion: Deletion of specific items or workspaces when supported.

In addition to email requests, NoteSpark supports direct deletion actions (where available) from inside the product, including deleting individual notes and deleting your entire account.

3. How to Submit a Deletion Request

You can delete your data in one of the following ways:

  • Delete notes (partial deletion): You may delete one or more notes directly in the product.
  • Delete your account (full deletion): You may delete your account directly in the product. Web: Go To Profile > Click Delete account. Mobile: Go To Profile > Click Delete account. (Be aware of your current subscription, if you have an active subscription, you must cancel it separately through the platform you purchased from. Deleting your NoteSpark AI account does not automatically cancel your subscription, and NoteSpark AI cannot cancel payments on your behalf because subscriptions are managed by third-party providers and security reasons)
  • Email request: If you cannot access the product or need assistance, email us from the email address associated with your NoteSpark account (or include proof of ownership) at:

If you email us, please include:

  • Your account email address
  • What you want deleted (account, specific content, or all content)
  • Any relevant identifiers (e.g., workspace name, note title, upload date), if requesting partial deletion

4. Subscription Cancellation Required (Important)

If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it separately through the platform you purchased from. Deleting your NoteSpark AI account does not automatically cancel your subscription, and NoteSpark AI cannot cancel payments on your behalf because subscriptions are managed by third-party providers and security reasons.

  • Web subscription: Cancel via the customer portal (powered by Polar / polar.sh by clicking to Billing).
  • Google Play: Cancel in Google Play subscriptions.
  • Apple App Store: Cancel in Apple ID subscriptions.

If you proceed with account deletion without canceling, you may still be billed by the original platform until you cancel there.

5. Identity Verification

For your security, we may need to verify that the requester is the account owner. Verification may include confirming access to the account email, requesting additional details, or asking you to complete an in-app verification step if available.

If we cannot verify your identity, we may be unable to process your request.

6. What We Delete

Subject to your request and verification, we generally delete:

  • Account profile data (such as name, email, and profile metadata)
  • Uploaded files and generated learning materials stored in the Service
  • AI interactions and prompts tied to your account, where reasonably feasible

If you request full account deletion, we also disable access to your account.

7. What We May Retain

Even after deletion, some information may be retained in limited cases, including:

  • Legal and compliance obligations: Where retention is required by applicable law, regulation, or lawful requests.
  • Security and fraud prevention: Logs and records needed to detect, prevent, or investigate abuse and security incidents.
  • Financial records: Transaction records required for accounting, tax, chargeback handling, and audit purposes.
  • Backups: Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time until rotated out.

8. Processing Time

We aim to process deletion requests within a reasonable period. In many cases, requests are completed within 30 days, but timing may vary depending on request complexity, verification needs, and system constraints.

9. Third-Party Services

NoteSpark AI may rely on third-party service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, error monitoring, and payment processing). When you request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify your data in our systems and request deletion where applicable with our vendors, subject to their retention requirements and technical capabilities.

10. Effects of Deletion

  • Deleted content and accounts cannot typically be recovered.
  • You may lose access to notes, generated materials, and prior learning history.
  • Some aggregated, de-identified analytics may remain and cannot be linked back to you.

11. Changes to These Deletion Terms

We may update these Deletion Terms from time to time. We will post updates on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
